Dr. Felix Nensa is an award-winning full professor at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and senior consultant radiologist at the University Hospital Essen, as well as a group leader heading the working group for artificial intelligence in radiology and the development of the smart hospital information platform (SHIP). For several years, he has been leading a research groUup that develops machine learning-based solutions to medical imaging problems. His focus is on practical solutions that must work in a clinical context. Here, in addition to workflow integration, his particular interests include interpretability, user trust, and interaction capabilities, especially with respect to modern, more complex machine learning models.
