Dr. Steyerova will give an overview on the current age-based breast cancer screening program in the Czech Republic, including benefits and pitfalls, financial aspects, quality assurance and clinical performance monitoring. Attendance factors, public awareness, as well as current debates on moving towards personalized screening will be also presented..

Personalized / Risk-based – Status, Vision / How, Hurdles

After an overview of the current breast cancer screening programs and guidelines in Europe, Dr. Rossi (co-author of European guidelines) will detail what “risk-based” screening (vs age group-based screening) involves in terms of populations, risk models, predictivity issues, stratified screening and associated imaging techniques.

ABUS in a Public Screening Program

Pr. Maja PRUTKI

Breast cancer remains a significant global health challenge, requiring effective screening methods to enhance early detection and improve patient outcomes. Pr. Prutki will share her own clinical experience introducing ABUS for screening at her institution.

What does "transgender" means in terms of breast imaging ?
Dr. Sarquis will give an overview of the literature and share her experience related to screening male and transgender populations.

Screening higher than general risk patients – how we do it?

Over the past 2 decades, there has been growing interest in supplemental breast cancer screening to improve the sensitivity of screening mammography alone. In this presentation, Pr. Sklair-Levy will give an overview of the literature and share the screening practice in her institution for women with various risk factors.

Dr. James will share his clinical experience of using CEM in a Single-Day workflow. He will describe the adoption process, clinical impact, benefits on patient care pathway, patient and other medical specialties feedback.

Single-day workflow – organizational, implementation and patients’ perspective

Dr. Thiemo VAN NIJNATTEN

Implementing a single day workflow in a department is not an easy process, yet this set-up has shown a positive economical impact and a better patient experience. Dr. van Nijnatten will share the requirements and benefits of such an implementation based on his own experience.

CEM-guided Interventional Procedures - Why I Do Them?

Dr. Anat KORNECKI

Dr. Kornecki is a pioneer user of CEM-guided biopsy. She will present a comprehensive overview of clinical experience with the technique, its potential impact on department workflow, as well as future directions in the specialty.

CEM in biopsy of extended calcifications clusters

Dr. Valentina IOTTI

Calcification clusters often generate recalls from screening, and require histological assessment. When extended, choosing the best area to biopsy may be challenging. Dr. Iotti will present the results of a randomized clinical trial on using CEM-guided biopsy in such situations.

Screening dense breasts with CEM – the CMIST project

Dr. Maxine JOCHELSON

The Contrast enhanced Mammography Screening Trial (CMIST) seeks to determine if CEM provides more accurate cancer detection compared to digital breast tomosynthesis for women with dense breasts.
After presenting an overview of the protocol, current status and planning, Dr. Jochelson will discuss the potential impact of this study on guidelines, patient care, workflow and economics.

Combining ABUS-DBT–CEM in Diagnostic and Treatment Monitoring

The combination of US-ABUS, DBT, CEM offers both morphologic and functional information.
Pr. Luczynska will share her experience in the implementation and use of these technologies in a cancer center, the impact on patient care pathway, and her vision on the benefits of multi-modality integration, together with AI and radiomics.

Combined analysis of ultrafast and DWI breast MRI sequences

Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has become a routine breast examination in breast diagnosis. Abbreviated protocols and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) are now standard practices.
After a refresher on the techniques, the speaker will present the findings of his recent study, which demonstrate the efficacy of using combined ultrafast and DWI protocols.

Artificial Intelligence – What, How, When?

After reminding the audience what is generally meant by "artificial intelligence“, Pr. Aribal will present the main AI current and expected benefits in breast imaging, potential related hurdles, as well as an insight on the future.
